Corp Member Organizes Lassa Fever Sensitization Rally in Calabar, Crossriver State.

It was an event filled day on the streets and major roads of the ancient city of Calabar as youth Corp members stormed invaded the city and held it four hours. The grand street rally/sensitization campaign was organised by Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Daniel, a serving corp member as path of CDS and was aimed at sensitizing the citizenry on the prevention and eradication of Lassa fever. The rally was tagged "Get Out Of Naija Lassa Fever". among the dignitaries that took part in the rally are the Crossriver State honourable commissioner for Youth and Sports, the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps scheme Cross River State, the NYSC Zonal inspector of Calabar zone, the NYSC local Gorvernment inspector in charge of Calabar Municipality, the Head of NYSC Community Development Service (CDS) cross river state, the Public Relations Officer of the NYSC Scheme in Cross Rivers State, a host of NYSC staff that can not all be mentioned. 

The Rally kicked off around 11:00 am at the Calabar Municipality Council Secretariat, Marian. From theere, the Rally train proceeded to the Marian market and Motor park where the traders, Driver, Commuters and the general public were sensitized on the dangers of Lassa fever and the best way to prevent and eradicate it.

From there, the rally train moved to Watt; a heavily populated area of Calabar that is host to the biggest market and motor park in Calabar where traders, bus drivers,motorcycle and tricycle drivers, and the general public were sensitized on the things they need to know about Lassa fever. Among the CDS groups that made the rally a huge success are the Emergency Management Vanguard-EMV/ NEMA CDS, DAnce and Drama CDS, NYSC Band CDS, and Charity CDS group. the rally ended around three.
